Fielden injured for 2 years and hardly performed for 5 years. I think similar could have been said for one Paul Deacon at Bradford when Wigan signed him.
I'm not suggesting Fielden as a big name signing, but as another prop, he could bring more to the party than just promoting from within and on a one year deal would be no risk at all compared to some recent signings we have made.
In the end it's probably just speculation but hey that's what rumours are for.
