Flannery and Faas leave, then I'd expect Hargreaves importance to the squad go up, as he can cover both front and back row (I think he'd be a better back row tbh).

To be honest, i'd put Owen in ahead of Lomax with a view to moving him to full back when Wellens calls it a day. I think Owen (before his injury) is a better player than Lomax. Obviously, its a risk due to his injury. Its all just rumours at the minute anyway.

Wing or full back I'd expect, given the injuries to those positions this year, if that continues both will get a lot of games next year.

Not really that bothered about us signing Owen from Castleford. For me Wing is least of our worries as we can fill that position with promising youngsters, and give them experience.

However Owen is a very good player for his age.
To have played something like 70 first team games and yet be only 20 years old is very good.
Still the worry is how his injury will have affected his speed and confidence.

My general point is that he seems straight competition for lomax, so either he or lomax has a long term future here?

Surely you'll have a fullback slot, and a wing slot (possibly two), becoming available in the near future, so why can't one be at fullback and the other on the wing?

The general consensus appears to be that Lomax is being prepared for the fullback slot but when our young guys play on the wing they are doing so out of position since they are all technically centres or halfbacks (bar Lomax).
