I seem to have a memory if him playing at centre for GB against New Zealand at the Reebok when we got hammered around 98-99.

If it was the 2000 WC game then no, he started on the wing and then he and Radlinski swapped part way through the second half so he was at full back.

I remember there were only two good things about that game, Wellens produced a prescottesque run to get out of trouble after fielding a grubber to the in goal, and keith senior not taking a backwards step when scrapping with half the kiwi side. The rest of the game was shocking, and I seem to remeber I paid an awful lot for my tickets.

I'm thinking the GB vs NZ series. In the first test Senior got tackled in the air by Robbie Paul at Huddersfield and should have got a penalty try but didn't and we lost.

I remember that game because i bought a ticket outside the ground off a tout and nearly got arrested inside the ground because it had been stolen an hour earlier from a fan! only reason i didn't get done was because my dad knew 2 of the stewards and because the thief was black.
