Not perhaps by his standards, but even in his limited appearences this season, you'd see him manage some good yards per drive even in heavy traffic, and even though he wasn't playing extended minutes, it did help us alot. He's also a big figure in defence compared to the likes of Hargreaves.

Wilkin won't play this weekend and the week after at Catalans in the league game. Gilmour a major doubt for this weekend also.

If Wheeler's fit get him in the centres and we won't miss much (if anything) compared with Gilmour.

Just been listening to a short interview with Potter on Radio Merseyside. He said Wilkin had had a minor clean out of the knee and will be missing for another couple of weeks and that Gilmore had taken a knock to the knee last weekend and they were waiting to see how he went this week before naming the squad. Let's hope he is OK because we could do with him being fit for this coming match. A league match we can catch up on but not the CC game.

Ashurst to second row

Good chance for these boys to shine, a couple of my mates (who can actually play rugby unlike me) don't rate Ashurst at all, I think he seems ok though

Having went to Matty Ashurst's school I was doing abit of coaching there a few years ago and the lad has talent theres no doubt about that.

My friends are convinced he isnt big enough. I say he's young and can get on the weights, but what do i know

As I said before he has talent and I have no doubt Potter will be having him on the weights. I think he will steadily improve year on year and we could have a great back rower on our hands if he trains hard enough.
