John Kear is the only one of the old guard so to speak that still seems to have the ability to improve a player.

But could he hack it at a "big club"? I hope so. If Nobby keeps destroying wigan we may soon find out.

Spent some time with Brian when we toured London last summer. He came along to watch a few of our tour games. He puts alot of time and effort into the junior scene in London and is working hard to encourage youngsters to play the game.

For me, London may be on the up with player numbers but just lack the organisation of a well established governing association. It all seems a little bit laid back. Credit to them though, they are getting kids into the game which can only be a good thing long term for RL in the capital.
