Sorry I don't agree. Long and goulding was both much better players than Edwards.

Edwards was a good player though if I'm being honest.

Yes, Edwards was then about 29, Long 20 (and had a bad injury) Goulding had been kicked out of Wigan and Leeds.

Long has been a great servant for Saints without a doubt, but would I swap him for Edwards, no, no a thousand times no.

Should Wigan have kept Long, quite possibly yes, but in place of who?

Goulding, the kicking donkey, as we all have found out, flattered to deceive.

I'm going to disagree.

Goulding wouldn't get into my top three Wigan scrum halves in the last twenty years.

Slow as a Gods horse but had a decent kicking game. Poor discipline, both on and of the field.

But this is getting off topic, it is about Long leaving Saints.
