Thought I'd mention my thoughts on the game on here, congrats today, I was impressed with several aspects of your game, and you look the team to beat by a mile.

Right then, lets have a bash at this one.

The one thing that was the key factor was Fa'asavalu's (I'm not even going to attempt to spell his name correctly, that'll do) spells, which turned the game to a certain extent. He was magnificent, a joy to watch even from a Bulls perspective!

However, I think the Bulls had a couple of good chances to put that game to bed. I certainly didn't agree with taking the 2, we had all the momentum and Saints were on the back foot. Also, Deacon's "try", of which I'm not sure why it was disallowed (haven't read the previous posts on here), but that could have certainly done some damage psychologically to be that far in front.

Saints had two very good spells, and justified for me why they're the best team in the comp. I personally aren't too downhearted from that, and look forward to Leeds on Friday. Kudos to Scruton, who had his best game for the Bulls I thought. Non-Kudos to Deacon, who again looked lost, and justified our need to sign Wing, or any other 7 that looks capable of leading a line and backing up the work our ever consistent players like Lynch and Menzies do week in, week out.

Keep the faith!

P.S - Eastwood's much criticized hit on Jeffries was perfectly legal in my opinion :)

So then by your reconing the Challenge cup final of '97 was away and so you didn't have a run of 16 games anyway?
I didn't think so

So is the record for consecutive "away" league matches? Or consecutive "away" matches in the cup? Or consecutive "away" matches in all comps?

If its just league, which seems to be the case, then it pretty clear why the challenge cup of 97 is not included, but not so clear why the defeat to Wigan in the league is not.

Oh yeah, that's right, it was not away was it? That's clear now. I'll keep repeating it..

No I won't, because as I've already told you, I don't really care. The Grand Final is what I care about along with the Challenge Cup. Anything else is pretty much irrelevant.

If you don't care, then stop going on about it. For someone who doesn't care, you have gone a long way to try and prove that it is a real record.

give it up son at the end of the day you where well beaten, your team is a mere shadow of its former self and all the petty points scoring in the world wont change that .

What are you on about? Not disputing the score of the game, we were well beaten. That's nothing to do with this is it?

Don't call me son.

living in cornwall (result) not watching the saints (very very bad!)

: Mon Jun 22, 2009 8:10 am
saints did well to win yesterday considering we were on the backfoot for long periods of the game! we won the game in a very small amount of time scoring tries in summat like an 8 minute period at the end of the 1st half and then running in tries late on at the end of the game. but the scoreline did'nt tell the full story of the game by no means! our defence was very good keeping out(at times) a confident bulls side. thought gilly was excellent in defence for us,biggest laugh of the day was nero selected as the bulls m.o.m  he did nowt.... i.m.o burgess played well but menzies was bratfud's best for me
