poop last night ..with the players they had missing and their league position we should have put 50 on them at least.
i see dropping the ball is creeping back in again...just one try in the second half on our own ground ...most boring game ive seen this season.

So will I, but I would appreciate being entertained at the same time. If I hadn't picked up an unexpected freebie ticket in Greenalls before the game I'd be even more miffed.

I know Saddened has had his say on the expansion of the play-offs, and it's hard to disagree with him. I'm swaying even further and coming to the conclusion that the whole play-off/Grand Final system is flawed. I loved it at first but I really think that games like last night's are worthless in the current circumstances. I know we will more often than not ape whatever the Aussies do but for a side to be able to finish as low as eighth yet hit a winning streak (or more likely be coached to come into form) at the end of the season makes SL into a glorified cup competition. No harm in a cup comp but I want a league that shows who has been able to cope best over six or seven different months.

I'm sure there will be Leeds fans who attribute this to us finishing top yet not winning the GF the last two years but I can only say that that is not a factor, believe it or not.

I'm probably just becoming (more of a) grumpy old man.

If it was first past the post last night would still have been a boring walkover. I think you're barking up the wrong tree here fella.

The game was boring because Celtic couldn't threaten us, not because of the format of SL.
