Sounds utterly unbelievable, but probably quite true. What on earth are we doing with recruitment? Is Brown the one making these calls?
If that report is true we're letting him go for nothing, despite having 12 months on his contract and him being an English international centre AND contributing to his salary for the first year. Say what you want about him not having fulfilled his potential but he is NOT a player we need to cut at all costs, like this report suggests we are. If true, and I stress the if, it seems daft. Especially as it would leave us with only one established centre in the squad again, and that's if Turner signs. I know you lot still believe the myth that is Gary Wheeler, but it's not a good place to be in, given that Wheeler will miss at least half the games next season.
Why not keep Shenton and look to offload Lance Hohaia?
