So whats the story with the players not wishing him well on Twitter? There has been almost radio silence from the players since the announcement yesterday, which is odd as they are usually on it all the time. Hohaia has also been deleted from the SL stats page, which doesn't usually happen.

I hope Lance does take it further and as a gesture of good will Wigan should pay out the remained of Lances contract. its what 6 months left on it so it wont be big bucks.

From what you say, I have the distinct feeling the full ins and outs of Hohaia's retirement have not seen the light of day yet. The official Saints announcement, especially this "St Helens will make no further comment on this matter." seems a little cool. If it is totally about a concussion injury i do not understand why that would be. As others have said, he has to look to his long term health above everything else and I wish him well in what ever it is he decides to do next.

Does seem strange, but then again I suppose he hasn't gone yet.

Its not rocket science, is it?
The players, from all teams, have an unspoken rule of what happens on the field stays on the field, and most are more than likely disgusted that he is considering a legal challenge on a fellow player. But you can tell he I that sort of guy just by looking at him, and with the help of a couple of ambulance chasers he's going to try his luck, after all, its downhill from now on, no-one else is likely to take him on.

There might be a slant on this that nobody has noticed, as recurrent concussion symptoms are temporary, and should have passed in the 6 months, maybe Lance is aggrieved at the after care he has received from his employers, rather than the incidents leading up to it.
