Have any of the posters with 'links' to the club heard anything of the reasoning behind Emmit joining Cas? He's looked like a very good prospect for us this season and, for a prop, knows his way to the tryline. It seems a bit odd we'd let him go, although to be fair to Saints, they very rarely make bad calls with regards to the releasing of young players.

He's played a fair bit of SL this year after impressing at Leigh and has attracted some interest. Cas will be offering him a decent hike in salary I would imagine, as they are signing him to be a first team regular.

At Saints he'll be behind Perry/Jammer/LMS/Puletua/Clough at prop - would he want to stay to be a 6th choice prop when he could play SL with Cas?

It's not always about whether we want to keep a player or otherwise - they are entitled to make decisions about their own careers too.

i think if he's gone that'll be the reason, at cas he's probably going to be in the first 17, here he's really only going to be cover for injuries
