I read that Leeds-Bradford is an airport and that Wigan-St Helens is a rivalry. It's one I can't wait for

After all, rugby league has a history of ideas that appear madcap at first but are taken up elsewhere, usually by rugby union

I will never forget that atmosphere at Knowsley Road on Good Friday when the final hooter sounded. On behalf of all the fellas thank you so much for being the greatest fans in the world.
"I can't see where our first loss is going to come from the way we are playing."
"If we don't beat these men by at least 20 there is something wrong."
"At the moment I'm struggling to find a side in the league that could beat us."
"26 clear points in our favour imo"
Some pearlers in there although some of our supporters have made similarly ridiculous claims in years gone by.
Wow, you lot are enjoying this eh! To be honest, Bradford did well, they punished us for the mistakes we made and the penalities we gave away, and it's not like we gave away many either!! I look forward to playing Hull FC, the side that took you apart, and seeing how we do, that will be a true bench mark. Also, nobody knows how a Maguire side bounces back from a loss, should be interesting!

After Hull took Saints so far apart (admittedly we got owned on the night) you do remember what Saints did to that same Bradford side, the one that give you a 20 point start and still beat you? I wouldn't maybe be looking too far forward if that is your basis for form!
Being serious, last night just shows that no team can afford to switch off against anyone in this league Wigan should have been out of sight after 30mins, both teams dropped too much ball but Bradford looked dead and buried and couldn't get out of ther half.
If anything this might give a dose of realism to some of your fans (am sure the opening post was a bit tongue in cheek), the season lasts 9 months not 1 and while a good start is a bonus its the good finish that matters and Saints and to a much greater extent Leeds have nailed that over everyone lately...

Makes it even better due to the sheer arrogance in that thread
I do recall several seasons ago saints fans on sky chanting "Hull KR, Hull KR, Hull KR" as they led Wigan whilst saints were sailing at top of the league.

A fair assessment in my eyes. I'd forgotten that you had beaten Bradford. Although now I get another counter! We batted HKR, they just about beat you. Although according to 'Sid' (the Saints fan who didn't go to the game, just on Radio Manchester) You 'wuz robbed' so maybe it doesn't count for anything.

Why is it a missed opportunity? You wouldn't be conceding that "the entertainers" are finished would you?
To be honest, I hate the envy-o-meter! I only really started following Wigan properly in 05, Dad had taken me to a few games before that, but I'd never really fallen in love with it, so it's not like I can just go to a happy place and remember the 'Glory Years'
