Complete rubbish.
Lets get a few things straight.
1. Salford as yet dont have full planning permission, until they do no stadium can be built
2. Access roads for Salfords stadium need to be built before planning permission will be granted in full. As yet the access roads havent been built.
3. The mud moving going on now at Salford is in some respects equivalent to the demolition work done on Saints stadium site about 9 months ago.
4. Saints stadium is planned to open in 2011. Salford themselves say their stadium will only be open in 2012 at the earliest.
5 You cannot state as FACT that saints ground wont open by July 2011 , until that period has passed and a stadium isnt complete you are merely talkign about supposition
Au contraire, the mud moving as you so eloquently put it is further in advance in terms of preparation to what has been done at yours.
You dont need full planning permission to move mud, I never mentioned anything about planning permission in any case just the state of ground works..
Given the stadium you're intending to have will take 13 months(at best) to actually build which doesn't allow for delays plus any handover period etc will mean your stadium won't be ready for July 2011. Simple logistics & mathmetics really. So your definition of open means it will be officially ready to have paying supporters attend, having some portaloos & a few deckchairs in one of the stands doesn't count as ready
In any case why rush, the season will be virtually over, you'll have to plan to play all your home league games away because suppositioning that the stadium will be ready on an exact date just isn't going to be a reality. Also the RFL wont not issue you with a license plus it'll give the newly laid pitch a good while to settle down so you dont have any Wembley type problems.
