Heard a rumour from a Warrington fan, it could, and probably is, a load of balls, but i thought i'd post it anyway.

Matt King to Saints, i think it might have been mentioned in the past anyway. However, a Warrington fan said that the rumour is doing the rounds in Warrington at the minute. He says that Monaghan's wages are more than what Hicks was on, and Smith had already said (before Hicks retired) that they were right on the Salary Cap and with Monaghan being on more it takes them over the cap, hence they have allowed King talk to Saints.

How true i don't know, but a rumour none the less.

But they wouldn't have been allowed to register Monaghan already if it would put them over the cap. Plus I think if King were to leave it would be back to the NRL.

I don't like seeing RL lose exciting young talent. but you can understand him wanting to go if those sort of salaries are being offered.

Perhaps Saints could let him go now and get a transfer fee rather than in a year when they'll not get anything!
If he does go it will be a big loss for Saints and for RL.
Pity a salary cap allowance or exemption can't be made for him as a home grown player as with all other HG players.
At least then Saints would have some kind of chance of keeping him.

Would not make any difference, RU would just raise the ante further, with more money.
Only people who would benefit are the players involved.

RL cannot afford to bankrupt itself chasing dreams.

Biscuit bones won't last in RU. Christ, he can barely last a game of RL. Imagine some 34 stone lawyer running at him, ears blowing steam at the mere thought of claret. Be like watching a truck hit a water balloon.
