This has probably been said but here goes anyway...

I heard over the weekend that Saints are trying to entice Long back to the club, as they have resigned to the fact that they will be losing Eastmond to Union. Literally a day after I heard this Eastmond announced that his future would be revealed this week & Hull sign Sam Obst...

Obst is cover, and Longy will not be coming back here (in any capacity hopefully) he was shot 2 years ago. I'd rather try one of Lomax/Wheeler/Gaskell alongside Leon for a season, see how they go and then go shopping if that doesnt work out

Well you say that but he was getting a lot of criticism at the start of the 2007 season and Noble went out and got Withers from Bradford - that was probably instrumental in his decision.

I remember Ashton getting dropped a lot as he was in my Fantasy League team at the time. To be fair that may have been after he announced he was going to Union.

at the time there was said to be an attitude problem with Ashton and a weight problem due to booze, his defence was garbage (still is) and was in and out of the team.

Longy was a fantastic player for us but he has come and gone,we have to look forward not backwards.
