Fair play to saints with the talau situation.
Alot of people thouht saints was makin a massive mistake putting gilmour in the centre after letting talau go.
Gilmour has been top class in defence and has give us some much needed attack out wide.
He is prob playing as good as any British centre in super league at present.
Gilmour has always had the potential to slot in at centre because of the type of player he is. We are blessed with Paul Clough coming through into the back row which probably helped matters.
On this subject, without opening the Pryce-not-a-half-back debate, I think Leon would have made an excellent replacement for Talau. Meaning we could bring through Eastmond/Wheeler/Smith whomever the young half-back du jour may be, to partner Longy. Just a thought.
