Reading into it, they want Arnold to play in the halves, but also want him to be open to utility, to allow him to develop as a player.

Like with Gary Wheeler, we want him to be a rugby player rather than a position.

I'm all for planned integration of our young players, rather than just relying upon injuries, but I'm concerned that if it is done too regularly it will cause unnecessary disruption in the side and create problems with our performance. Also, I thought it was daft, frankly, to give Kyle only 30 minutes on Friday. Why not a full half? Surely it's less disruptive to keep the same spots for one full half than to change about after 30 minutes?

Arnold seemed to move in field mid match when the game seemed all but won. Quins mounted somethhing of a comeback and Carlton moved back inside to sure us back up.

Leon Pryce has been an utterly outstanding signing for us. I never thought at the time but he has been absolutely fantastic. His putting his hand up to play on the wing to accomodate the likes of Wheeler and Eastmond is great for me. He knows either of them could have a blinder and end up forcing him out of the team, but he does it anyway. Rather flies in the face of the image people seem to have of him being a big egomaniac.

Well, we certainly needed shoring up. I'm not entirely convinced Kyle is the way to go. But I guess the best way to find out is while the senior guys are still with us.

It was a good move by Leon, I agree. But I'm not surprised by it tbh.

Do people think he's an egomaniac? I've never thought of him that way. I once believed he would go missing in games but I've changed my mind about that as I've got to know the technicalities of the game a bit better (not that I'm an expert or anything) and this season he's been outstanding at every opportunity, in spite of all the harassment he's received.
