I dont think wilkin did anything wrong - did not look like he was intentionally aiming to hurt herbert and timing was fine wilkin had hit herbert pretty much as the ball hit his boot.

We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.

I see the elephant in the room is being nicely ignored, now that the officials influence is in Bradfords favour.

And I remember how Stains won trophies by breaching salary cap rules too. More times than any other team.

But we're digressing. Back to Wilkin. The dirty thug.

A few years ago, prior to you leaving nursery, trawling other teams' sites to pedal your anti-Saints bile & creating childish web sites, they did.

And they say Wigan fans live in the past.

So we were granted an exemption... As were St Helens! D'oh!

Never mind, son. Maybe next time you'll be able to write a reply without resorting to the childish insults.

Wigan didnt actually breach the salary cap. They negotiated an exemption in respect of contracts signed before the salary cap was introduced. It could be argued that the RFL should not have granted the exemption but that's not the same as Wigan breaching the cap.

I think reference was actually being made to the time when we signed Stuart Fielden, which would have taken us over the cap had we not renegotiated several other contracts to allow him to fit in under the threshold. Despite that we were told we'd breached the "Spirit" of the cap, and got fined anyway. Brian Noble asked the obvious question, seeing as we were being fined anyway, could we go back and "actually break the cap now?"

The answer was no.

Wrong. Again. The reference was to 2001 when the dodgy bookmaker negotiated an exemption allowing the persecuted Pies to spend £500k more than other SL clubs. Still, I'm happy to forget previous indiscretions as I am you sure you will forgive Saints. If you do I promise to do you a character reference for when you leave school & seek an employer.
