| Well shame on MacNamara, then. It's his job to get into the heads of the players and make damn sure they are NOT complacent.
Also shame on Deacon. It's his job to reinforce this on the pitch.
We need leadership off and on the pitch. I despair.

| I wish I knew what the problem was, and I'm sure Worrincy may like to think this was some sort of excuse, but honestly at 8-6 half-time (?) can any one of them have[i really[/i come out in the second half [istill[/i thinking it was a walk in the park? I don't think so.

| Quote “We can’t be up one week, then down the other; we have to get consistency. We have to show the fans what we’re going to do. It’s no good saying it. '"
Spot on. It seems Mike takes the view of others on here who are fed up with hearing the same story every week about how good we'll be in the next game.
Quote “We’ve said a lot this year and I’m not really a man of words I’m a man of actions and I just want to get out there against Salford on Friday and correct what we did so wrong against Celtic.” '"
Well, Worrincy received a ton of criticism when he joined. I belittled his signing. However, he's proved us wrong, and become a bit of a super sub.
If only the rest of the team could have an attitude like him - we may start going somewhere..

| Peacock touches on the inconsistancy issue in his book. In 2005 the futures of many players was uncertain which had a destabilising effect in the dressing room. I suspect something else is doing the same this year. What that is, who knows. I vote for cancelling training tomorrow and lock them all in a room until they've sorted it out

| Frankly, I'm really getting sick and tired of this constant mantra - every week we have one or other squad member coming out with the same old crap about how 'we let everyone down' and 'we will put it right next week'.
Last week it was 'Oh, don't worry we certainly won't be taking Celtic lightly'. Now suddenly it's 'we expected a walk in the park'. Clearly something is wrong either with the coaching, the motivation, or the general attitude of the players - or maybe all of those things!
I'm convinced that the main problem is that the same 17 players know and expect that they will be playing next week. There's basically no competition for places at the moment. I know there are two or three injuries - but no more than any other team. If three or four of the squad were dropped after a poor performance, then they might buck their ideas up.

I like Worrincy but is he that much better than you thought or does he just stand out against the dross he is playing with.

| There was plenty of talk around Sunday's game about whether the Crusaders were being disrespected. Opposition players can - and did - look after themselves in that regard. However, this fan feels more than a little disrespected by an attitude like that. Perhaps its telling that one of the few players who could hold his head up was sent to deliver the message this time.

What do you want them to say then?
And as pointed out in other threads, (almost) the same 17 beat Wakefield and Saints in the previous 2 matches.

Dunno yet, we'll see if we ever put a consistant run of good victories together when all are playing well.

He'll never be an all time great but with the lines that he was running and the fast, aggressive way that he was running them in the last half hour on Sunday, I think he looks like he could be really rather good. He's still young (there's a widespread expectancy in the game that good players should have proven themselves by the time that they're about 20 - this need not be so) and needs others playing to him, but he could be the next Sonny Medley. Also needs a bit of work on defence.
