I suppose they were, but to be fiar our captain isn't setting a very good example by not looking arsed at all. If he is still here (and I pray he isnt) then Deacon shouldn't be captain next season, but then who?
Obvious candidates would be Lynch or Menzies, but it would be better being a player who would be on 80 mins nearly every match (and hopefully we can use Menzies as an impact player next season).
Langley is another who comes to mind, and maybe he'd up his game if he was given captaincy (although atm he doesn't deserve it).
If we bring in an experienced halfback ( like Orford) they would be another candidate.
