A rare Statement from our Illustrious leader finds its way onto Love Rugby League earlier on Tuesday,
Quite a Mundane effort as it happens stating that we are searching for a new coach, that we have interest from both the UK and OVERSEAs.

Exactly what you would expect from a club that had just parted ways with its head coach and was actively seeking to find the best candidate in the world of RL to take the club forward AND rebuild to become the Super League Stalwart it once was... Nothing to see here!

Then we find the Clubs social media guy saying that the statement shouldn't have gone out, it was down to Gremlins in the Bulls computer system, writing it and uploading it before Nigel had finished it..

3 Days later we the silence is deafening... as per usual with this incarnation of the club.

Now the thing I find interesting here is that there was nothing in the statement that shed any light on anything or could have caused any misunderstanding, it was clear and concise other than..... We have had numerous parties interested from the UK and Overseas.

Was this pulled by the club as they openly admitted they had recieved interest from some higher calibre candidates, when infact there mind is already made up on going with the cheapest option?

what are everyones thoughts?

Nigel really has a problem actually committing to anything doesn't he? Avoids direct accountability wherever possible despite supposedly being chummy with a lot of the RL journos.

Part of me suspects it's cold feet and they don't want to set expectations too high - overseas interested is one thing but not if you are planning to just keep the caretaker on place as it's the cheap option

Ultimately though in the Wood era, I've no idea what either his or the club's ambition is. Given what the club and fans has been dragged through in the past decades you'd think someone up there would think it might be an idea to keep the fans in the loop but sadly not. I can't shake the feeling Wood has anything but the club's best interests at heart, because nothing about him being there or what we know about him or his track record make sense if he does.

Probably more of a temper expectations.

Some fans will take that as we’ve been speaking to Mal Meninga rather than when we announce Mr Smith who went on holiday to Perth and watched a few academy games.

As long as we don’t say we’ve really opened the cheque book….
