Another moronic cumbersome and contrived draw in Rugby League. I can't get excited knowing if we beat Donny then we go out in the next round. It's just rendered meaningless.
Looks as if, shock horror, someone at the RFL either hasn't thought this through or did, but didn't care about the potential impact on championship clubs.
So if for instance we beat Doncaster and Cas (pretty long shot) we'd have to play the cup quarter final the weekend of April 5/6 and the 1895 game in midweek. Luckily we have a bye the weekend after but that only applies to us. This is more likely to affect Oldham or Barrow or Batley and Dewsbury.
