Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

What you said except for two changes;

Halley
Tadulala
Nero
Menzies
Sheriffe
Sykes
Jeffries
Lynch
Newton
Scruton
Cook
Langley
Burgess

Kopczak
Worrincy
Rinaldi
Platt /Olibison

Deacon definately to miss out and Olibison or Platt to miss out for mine assuming Nero is fully fit he's better in the Centre than Platt dispite how well last weeks starting 13 did.

Nero is coming back from injury, personally I'd start with Platt, he did OK against Stains.

Platt made the final pass on at least 2 of our tries and didnt put a foot wrong. The whole anti-platt thing should stop really

Don't think anyone was being anti Platt in this thread, Im certainly not, (I posted earlier in the season how he has only made a small number of errors this year and has been unfairly targetted by the boo-boys).

All I'm saying is that as well as Platt did last week, Nero is a better Centre and was playing well before injury. So if he's fully fit (And thats the big if, if there is any doubt stick with Platt) I would rather see Nero in the Centre. As I think Nero is the best Centre at the club (Menzies being primarily a back rower for the sake of this point), not that I dont rate Platts effort last week.

I would agree with Duckman's sentiments.

Platt looked shaky at centre at Wakey and against Wire, but he did well there last week. However he's still not a centre and is still someone playing out of position. When you have the option of playing 2 centres (Nero & Menzies) who are very comfortable in that position and have been playing very well there, that's the better option to go with.

Platt on the bench would be the best choice as it covers in case of injury to any of the backs, 1-7.

have to agree especially as according to t&a article he was having his session running on his repaired knee at todays training session. If it's taken this long to be able to run on it then theres no way he should be playing at weekend. I'd imagine only reason he's in 19 man squad is partly a matter of mind games and partly on the off chance jeffries picks up a knock in training tomorrow.

I'm not arguing for the sake of arguing, but Platt, after the Stains game may just be getting a bit confidence back, and starting him on the bench could be the kick in the nuts he doesn't need.
