His confidence wont be helped by significant sections of his own supporters "cheering" when he catches the ball. We're all waiting for the next mistake, and he knows we're all waiting for the next mistake and for the jeers to rain down off the terrace, and that cant be easy. But he needs to ignore that as a professional, and focus on playing error free for as long as possible to take the attention away. On the plus side he has tried to support the ball carrier by running through the lines plenty of times in the first two games but the ball was never released for various reasons.
