A good idea in principle and it would certainly improve their all round game, even playing in the lower grades – see JP.

However, wouldn’t it be rather cost prohibitive to keep shipping potential stars half way around the world to “bring their game on a bit”?

Also, talk at the fans forum was to link up with NL clubs, giving rising star more first team, competitive rugby there, whilst simultaneously raising standards there.

Nope, it came from an article in Aus and it's been confirmed by Ellis himself, Burgess, McGuire, Graham and Peacock were the 4 he suggested if I remember rightly
