Come on you BULLS!!

: Sat Jun 20, 2009 1:59 pm
Maybe it was good for him to leave when he did. A lot of fans placed much of the blame for our recent downturn on his doorstep - because of his allegedly high salary (rightly or wrongly).

He can learn the ropes at featherstone and can always come back to the Bulls in future, so you may still get your wish Red.

I think you may well be right. It is likely that he turned down more lucrative offers for a 1 year player contract and opted for a primarily coaching position. In deference to Featherstone its unlikely that the financial rewards were the main inducement.
Immense experience and always an excellent game reader, I'll watch his coaching career with great interest.

Bradford gave us Hockney, Leeds gave us Moyles.

The way he played towards the end of last year he would have made a good option as second hooker.

He was head & shoulders above everyone on the pitch for most of it. You can't blame him for the later coaching decisions.

Well as some will never blame McNamara for them, somebody has to be made a scapegoat. Iestyn was blamed for practically everything for four years whilst at the club so it is fine for him to be that scapegoat.
