"I'm 49, I've had a brain haemorrhage and a triple bypass and I could still go out and play a reasonable game of rugby union. But I wouldn't last 30 seconds in rugby league." - Graham Lowe (1995)

I thought you were suggesting that because the Odsal game was on Sky, the correct decisions were made and the Bulls won the match, whereas on Friday Sky weren't present, meaning the wrong decisons were made and the Bulls ended losing, therefore meaning you concurred with Sheriffe? Still I suppose it's easy to get confused...

Still bitter? Let it go....
im not bitter iut just shows how the vid ref can change a game!! i think the vid ref was bang on on the night re the leeds no trys at odsel.

the only gripe with the vid ref was newton making a blatent of the ball obstruction for beavers try on jjb which he ignored and when smith called forward pass for the hall no try and the sin bin for ablett when the player was never held! but some ya get some ya dont!

personally i think a team has to take the ref out of the game and get the job done whatever the bloke in the middle is calling. as leeds always end up on the wrong side of a pen count we seem to be able to do this for the most part.

yeah i had a good look at the sheriffe try and the coner flag went before the ball got down. a frame by frame reply may tell a different story but the same could be said for the mcguire no try when bulls dropped the ball, sini passed it back to mcguire but bentham blew knock on!! if the vid ref was in play at that game i have no doubt bentham would have let play run and have a look after!! thems the brakes!!

Probably is making a bit of a scene, but I'm glad someone has said something about Bentham's refereeing as he was just poor for both sides. He gave decisions that weren't there and missed an awful lot.

Either that, or he followed the "Rugby League rules according to Stuart Cummings" a tad too well.
Think it's been said about the TJ not Bentham. If the TJ tells Bentham it was in touch he's hardly going to overrule him and give the try is he.

This is ace stuff Mr Wilko. If I'm reading your opinion right you think that the referee can find something to penalise in every play, so it's basically entirely down to the mood of the ref which he chooses to penalise, and also that the video ref making cleaner, better decisions could lead to the elimination of pure luck in games an so is a bad thing.

If I were you I'd start going to watch a coin toss each week as it will leave you with a couple of extra hours and not frustrate you so much.

He's trying to cover himself. Not only was he in touch, but he also dropped the ball in his deperate act to get the ball down.

not sure what you are on about!! I'm no frustrated with the game at all. I just understand it!!?

You hear the very best pundits, sterlo and Gould talk about there Been a penalty in every play and you hear coaches talk about it too!! It's all about the refs using common sense!! If the refs ref to the letter of the law there would be a stupid amount of pens!! As the great gus Gould says that the rules are only a guide line! I think the refs do a great job in keeping our game flowing when gamesmanship is such an important part of the game especially around the ruck!!

Are you saying you don't think the game is like this?? If you don't then you are wrong because far superior rugby minds than our think it is!!

I can accept failure, but I can't accept not trying.

The IGJ didn't think that.
