Indeed, it is unlikely we'll be able to find a similar quality player who can provide us with the impact that he can. Perhaps we have secured someone else, in which case fair enough.
However his latest injury was down to him being prepared to put his body on the line. If it was his knee's that kept going or re-occurrence of old injuries then no I wouldn't retain him.
I just feel that players like Whitehead, Olbison and other young forwards can only benefit training and playing alongside professionals like Glenn. With young guys like Whitehead getting more gametime next year, I feel it is a risk we can afford. I'd rather have him playing for us than against us next year.
