My point I've asked all the season still stand, is the current squad no better than 12th out of 14 teams? I think it is

The reason I asked was because Hood made it quite clear that where possible he'd make time for people to call in for a coffee and discuss matters. Now obviously he couldn't do this for every fan but he made it clear that there was a line of communication to him personally. I'm sure reasonable and non abusive emails would be responded to.

Guess what? Apparently very few actually take the trouble to contact him or Duffy. Plenty play merry hell on the terraces, and especially sat behind a keyboard on here, but few actually follow it up, it seems.

Why not try asking? As long as you ask in a reasonably civilised manner, and go in looking for answers not just to have a rant and let off steam, I have good reason to believe you will indeed get a reply - or, in the case of Duffy, probably a chat as well. I'm not saying you'll like what you hear, and I'm not saying you won't get it from the club's POV as opposed to an entirely objective POV; but - if you are indeed prepared to listen - you'll get a reply.

What about a credit crunch, shiite value for money, two home wins all season and a board/manager who seem hell bent on dragging us down further?

The club show nothing but apathy to the fans so I do not see how people should be fawning over them.

I know but i guess my point was that not all people will do it, in fact probably the vast majority won't. Unless the club is pro-active and communicates with the fans who have stayed/will stay away then there lost..for now anyway

If Mac's what we have and are going to stick with for next year then come out and say it, stop this debate which is inevitably going to happen. Tell them about the future what it looks like, how we're rebuilding and how mac is a key part of that, all that it appears like at the moment is that there sticking their heads in the sand or that current performances/results are acceptable.

I dont know how many games you have attended this year to come to the conclusion that the club have apathy towards the fans. Nor do I know how much you have spent on "supporting" the club throughout the year to help buy better players, or terminate the current coaches contract if this needs to be done. The major thing that I do notice about your posts are that they tend to have one agenda and that you pipe down considerably on the few occasions we have won.

As a "fan" who pays for four season tickets a year whilst I am as dissapointed as anyone with the results I still think they provide good value for money.

I'm sorry but "don't want to listen to what"? The same old excuses, same old reasonings that we'll get it right, turn a corner, learn a lesson.
What has the club said? Not very much! We still refuse to make announcements on recruits and why? We are the only club that thinks this is the best way forward. The club doesn't communicate or publicise effectively.
I think Stuart Duffy/Peter Hood and Steve McNamarra should have their own section on this forum. Then they could clear everything up and we would obviously swallow everything they say and be the happiest fans in the League. How hard would that be?

Ok...now you have got that off your chest...have you actually tried getting in touch with any of those people?

No but I didn't make the original statement. I do think the Club is out of touch with the fans though. The idea about giving them their own section on the Forum would be easy to do but I seriously doubt they would take up on it as it's easier to ignore things you don't like, and that's what will happen with a lot of fans if the Club doesn't do something.
