Well, that was disappointing.
First thought - how on earth are Halifax a top four side? Some solid defence, but nothing much else to trouble anyone, that just shows how bad we really were.
We badly missed Lilley today and with him and Murray for a bit more grunt up front, I think we could have won. (Depending on being able to hold onto the ball of course and not concede stupid penalties following tries, etc, etc.) We have to learn to manage games better, we are too soft in the tackle - Halifax niggled all the time, yes they gave away penalties, but so what, they slowed it down all the time to give them time to get organised. When they were down to 12 men, and we were on the front foot, what happened - one of their players collapses on the floor to give them time to get organised, and to get a breather. It's not particularly sporting but its legal and we need to start playing on the edge a bit more. I guess that will come with experience.
I didn't expect a win, not with the team we had tonight, but disappointed that we could have won and pretty much messed it up. One of the worse performances from us this season I think.
And 250 Halifax fans for their biggest away game of the season? Very poor.
How sour are those grapes? Players collapsing on the floor? Was that the one with the broken arm or the one with the head knock? If we continue to average only 18 points against us each game we will make the top 4 so you are right about that. You really were not as bad as you are making out you are just disappointed with the result at the moment and if you watch it back Im sure you will see you did OK. Once again Fax's discipline was very poor but when we can defend like we are doing we can get away with it still we need to cut out the silly penalties.
And finally a dig at our fans, Im sorry they didnt turn out but Bradford simply no longer holds the appeal that they did the last few seasons.
