Aaron is one of the few RL journos who makes sure his info his correct and is usually pretty accurate on his reports. Rather than some of the other rabble who just constantly report how they were the first to report something (funny how they never tweet the ones that didn't turn out to be true)

I'm glad some of you still care enough to be livid. I just don't have it in me anymore. They've been genuinely upsetting me periodically for years now, and my mind appears to have given up. Without making light of how bad depression is, I find supporting Bradford is literally that.

As has been mentioned on here, Aaron Bower does not tend to report things without a good basis of fact. And it's his story in this week's League Express that states "with the new consortium likely to inherit a significant amount of debt owed to outstanding creditors". It's not people assuming debt, it's the media reporting it.

Another tidbit from the T& is that Chris Brereton has apparently been 'courted for some time' by Chalmers. Even back in May he felt out to watch us in Toronto and has been shown around the facilities by Chalmers.

So this is not a sudden takeover, the groundwork has been laid over many months, and Chalmers - even whilst negotiating to leave Odsal for Dewsbury - has been actively trying to sell the club.

Lots of unanswered questions about why Chalmers was so desperate to get out off Odsal if he knew that he wasn't going to be in charge anymore. Who is pulling the strings here? The RFL? The Council? Nigel Wood?

It all seems very odd....

Maybe it was Chris who has looked at the costs of playing at Odsal and decided they aren't viable.
Wakefield fans do say he cut costs to a suitable budget.
