Calls rl a minority sport in the t&a article. Might as well call us egg-chasers and be done with it.

Both sides are acting in their own self interest, Lawn desperately wants a new pitch at VP as the current one is knackered but can't afford to pay for it, Bulls desperately want to stay at Odsal as that's where most of the fan base is from. I think in either case the primary entities that stand to gain the most from either deal are sports clubs.

He's not lost the plot at all.

Ideally City and Bulls should all come to together at Valley Parade. The Bulls should forgot about OSV. The money just isn't there for it. VP is a top notch stadium suitable for both clubs. But both clubs tend to hate each other for some reason, so it's difficult to move forward together. But well done Huddersfield. They've managed to do it with the work of a fantastic council. Bradford Council on the other hand.....useless.

It's not rocket science, but to the Council it is. Lawn has suggested a sensible idea, and the Council shoot it down straight away. The Bias towards the Bulls is so obvious! The opportunity is there for the cash to be saved and an improved stadium for both clubs.....but the morons at the top are being morons as usual just like they are with the Odeon building. Bradford Council....you're a disgrace to our City.

I've been a casual City fan for a lot of years now. When I say casual, I mean I prefer RL to Football, but if I am gonna go watch a football game, it's always gonna be City. Have always got to a few games a year at VP.

The way a lot of City fans are being towards the Bulls though, and in particular the comments being made towards the club by Mr. Lawn are starting to really put me off my own football team.

I don't get what business it is of Bradford City if the Bulls are given money by the council. Similarly, I wouldn't get what business it was of Peter Hood or the Bradford Bulls, if money was given to City. It's all very much like spoilt children kicking off because one got a flake in his ice cream and the other didn't, while they were out with mummy at the shops.

Well it's not exactly fair if the Bulls are getting money from the Council or a New Multi-Million pound Stadium and all City get is a few pounds for the odd Community Project here and there.

I refer again to my ice cream comparison.

With the council as useless as it is, how about everyone in the city is just happy that anyone is getting money? How come any time anyone gets some council investment, rather than it being applauded, all we ever hear is other sides moaning about it and asking where their money is. It's pathetic.

Would you be happy thinking that City could be getting an investment, but won't be, purely because the council are scared that if they give any money to City, the Bulls, Cougars & Avenue are all gonna start moaning that they aren't getting anything? So instead, the council just don't give to anyone, as it's not worth the hassle?

Council have said repeatedly that the 15million allocated to the OSV project is for the community sports portions of the scheme and NOT for the stadium. The stadium is to be funded by the other partners in the scheme. Lawn and Carling always gloss over this minor but important detail and try to present the OSV as purely a new stadium for the Bulls.

Re: Odsal Sporting Village : Sat Apr 17, 2010 6:03 pm
I want to know what exacly City get in the ground share idea? How much of it goes to the owner of the stadium, as i see it Bradford City and its co chairman are asking for £5 million to buy back Valley Parade "upgrade" the pitch so it can accomadate RL?? dose that sound right??? The pitch they can't afford to do yet they are pushing on with it anyway???? It stinks and sounds like the deals been done and dusted behind closed doors. It seems City and its supporters have been party to a lot of things the Bulls fans and Mr Hood Havn't. It smells very fishy! It wouldn't be much of a supprise though, im sure the bradford councilers would much rather go to valley parade than go to odsal to watch a premiership game rather than a super league game, suppose they have every chance with a solvent club like the the bulls bank rolling the footy club!

What happends if by some miracle City manage to get back into the premiership (bearing in mind the fa proposals on duel code stadia), might take a few years granted (if at all :thumb: ), in the meen time Odsal's been filled and offices, industrial or houseing is built on it, or even the stadium is that over grown odsal is classed as not safe for use, (the odeon springs to mind) were dose that leave the club then?

Lets not forget City never get any hand outs and have to it off thier own backs, which is not quite true, it was only a few weeks ago they recieved a £3 million pound pay out plus 2 councill workers to help out in thier offices. So i ask again were in the hell dose money go down at valley parade?
