I used to watch the Bulls regularly but gave up after all the garbage surrounding VP, the final straw coming when my mate was asked to sign the Try for Odsal petition at St Helens and when he said he'd prefer to stay at VP he was greeted with Eff Off Pa*i ( he was actually Indian ).
Sorry BM, but the inference you gave was that the person asking for a signature was the one who said something abhorent and distasteful hence people being unable to believe what you said as we know most of the people involved.
Anyway, I for one quite liked VP & never had any problems when we went there. Much of the moaning I heard about the stadium was the fact they could not stand up - I do not think this is as much of an issue given the increasing number of all-seater stadiums we now have in RL.
However, you should remember that the majority of the Bulls games took place on Fri/Sat/Sun evenings, as opposed to the majority of City's matches taking place on a Sat/Sun afternoon. Manningham is a completely different kettle of fish on an evening (especially at 10pm) then it is on an afternoon, especially for those of us with young ones. Don't forget that a good proportion of our support was (and still is) made up of families, which made for a completely different dynamic from City's (and football's) normal audience. Having to walk around Manningham at that time of night, in poorly lit conditions certainly put off quite a few families I know from going.
It would be interesting to see what peoples reactions would be if we had to move to VP but played the majority of games on a Sun afternoon?
I now believe that the Bulls only have 2 options - move in
WITH City at VP or look to secure a partner and build their own stadium away from Odsal (and Bradford?) - easy to say, much harder to make happen!!!!!! I am now certain that absolutely nothing will happen if they have to rely on the Council.
