I find it hard to believe that players would just turn up to a meeting and sign new contracts without having their agent there and taking advice first ?

They won't have signed new contacts, they may of signed an agreement to stay with the Bulls if this is done by the end of next week.

I'm not buying all this "trying to deceive the RFL and back them into a corner" stuff.

I would rather believe that what has happened is that Richardson & co have simply put themselves into a position that represents the best option for the RFL and that they would be stupid to turn down. It's like going to a job interview and telling your prospective employer (who is desperate for a new member of staff ASAP) "I can start tomorrow, I don't need to serve 4 weeks notice elsewhere before I'm available"

After all, the RL are the governing body, they hold all the cards. it would be naive of anybody to think they could force their hand

Just for clarity, the RFL had NO IDEA this meeting was taking place. They found out about it at the 11th hour and therefore were being deceived.

So you are happy for this NEWCO to dump on creditors?

If M Green and season ticket holders are taken care of (about 1.1 million if you believe his 900k figure, plus the value of the roughly 1k of STs sold up to mid November) then the remaining 50k, a figure cited by the RFL, represents half of one percent.

*And* it's very achievable, *and* there is as yet no indication that the half of one percent of creditor value will be dumped on.

I'm not sure they did. More of a "I'll sign you up on your old deals if you stick around." But who knows for sure?

Not buying that. I'm not sure what the RFL would gain from our relegation.

Neither do I, other than gain credits from the rest in RL by 'punishing' us, but it is they who are pushing for us to accept -12, with no team, no staff [at the time of writing]play HKR 3 times etc.

Don't know whether this 'new owner' is going to come off or not, and it would make a big difference, but as it appears that they don''t even know about it, we can assume it wasn't on the table when the RFL came out with their plan to 'help' us.

The creditors figure quoted by the RFL was to "unconnected parties" which would therefore exclude Green.

The £50k is owed to other RL clubs due to Green not paying over advance ticket sales money.

Oh, and £50k is not 0.5% of the total, I think you need a new calculator !

Ha. Yes I do.

But in this administration process, where we very much still are, then it really is the smallest chunk.

I'm not saying it shouldn't be paid. *After* the ST holders it's the only one I care about. But the administrator isn't going to ignore the person he was employed by.
