Nail on head here, for me he has overseen 3 administrations being in a position of influence. Logic says after the first two alarm bells will have rung the third time! No company in the business world would employ someone in such a position who has overseen business failure time and again, yet here he is with the supposed title of Football Manager! What on gods green earth has he achieved in rugby league to warrant that type of role?
As I and plenty of others have said the chaiman should be at the side of Bastian and McFarlane in this not Duffy
Not at all sure why Stuart Duffy is kopping the flak on here. I don't 'know' the guy at all but I've spoken to him a few times and he comes across as a decent, loyal and pretty knowledgeable sort of bloke who, if he has a problem, it is that he is someone who, when asked, will stick up his hand and say 'yeah, I'll see what I can do'. In government terms he's a 'civil servant' trying to implement what has been decided and not the minister making the decisions, so maybe his loyalty over the years should be taken into account? Personally, I think he deserves some slack.
