Nestegg please tell us/we on here what your role is. Mick text me last night but i really don’t want to be involved in anything on the quiet. I’d much rather talk where other people can see as well.
The pension debacle is all correct I’m afraid. I’m glad now that fact is now out in the open.
Thank you Roger, and first and foremost let us (and it is 'us'') tell you that we are horrified by what has gone on at the club, and is still going on at the club. We feel for your son, particularly given that he had we understand signed a f/t 3 yr contract in Oct' 2018.
It just so happens that one of the (new) nesteggers has a reasonable handle on certain areas of law.
We presume that your son's been to Cramer, and what he says, at least in respect of your son's contract being fundamentally breached is correct. The technical term is having been constructively dismissed, but has your son been continuously employed at the the club for over 2 years?
Our legal lady hasn't had much dealings with the RFL appeal procedures, but given that as far as we know the club is currently rudderless - apart possibly/ probably from the guiding hand of the puppet master(s) - then it may be that the appeal is never lodged.
Even if an appeal is lodged then a lawyer will likely advice your son that the law is on his side, and a good lawyer, and we mean a good lawyer, should be able to ensure that your son's rights (at least in terms of being a free agent) are ultimately upheld and ideally any losses recovered. Problem re any economic loss however, is that sadly a) your kid is dealing with an insolvent business, and b) he may not have a right to lodge a comprehensive tribunal claim. There may be a statutory entitlement if (or when) the club goes belly up. The above stuff is merely our lady's hunch; without sight of the evidence no meaningful advice or guidance can be offered.
Hopefully, your son won't need to have to resort to the above nonsense. He is a talent and should as a free agent find a club who are more stable than ours and he should blossom. He (and you) can then hopefully, forget about the car crash that is the Bulls. Sadly for others given what we reliably hear about this so called new consortium it may well be a car crash that will continue. However, the damage moving forward may be somewhat mitigated.
If you fancy meeting us (and our 'legal') then that could be arranged Roger; just say, and we can 'reach out' to you. If we can, we would be pleased to help, at no cost to your son, or you.
