RFL loan Bradford a stack of cash, when they can't pay it back they give them some more and take a pretty much worthless lease in lieu of payment
There is a catalogue of errors and most of them started at Odsal.
I would amend your comments as such:
ALL of the errors started and were compounded at Odsal.
The RFL tried to assist the Bull's "temporary" funding shortfall with progressive loans and their intention to support a member club was greatly to their credit.
Clearly they did this on the basis of the financial information re the state of the Bulls given to them from time to time.
It's doubtfull that the RFL would have continued in providing loans to the Bulls had they been fully aware of the true financial situation every time the loan was increased.
We do not know what level the loan from the RFL had risen to prior to the RFL buying the lease on Odsal.
But by buying the lease (which has little or no value to the RFL) they converted a bloody great loan that might be lost in the Bulls impending Administration into a bargaining asset
