To be honest i thought the same when we signed him but i was pleasantly surprised. Solid if not spectacular. Makes good ground forward and a good hard worker.

Not sure who you mean by 'we' - he's been variously rumoured to be going to Hull KR, Halifax, Huddersfield and probably a few others

As for Kav, I think he suffered quite a bit with injuries with us, and perhaps never quite hit his straps. But he was coming into good form at the end of last season, and was very good for Scotland in the Four Nations.

He's not a world beater, but he won't let anyone down

I find it fascinating how every player gone has felt like a big loss and can be described positively yet we failed to make the top 4 in the championship...

Not a critiscm by the way as I feel the same way and I can't explain why

Listening to Caro on the RHP show I think last years performances had a lot to do with rumours and pay being late as Rohan has mentioned

I think the reason is individually the players wete easily good enough to finish in the top 3. Unfortunately we just didn't play as a team. Mainly the fact we had no half backs

We played most of last season like the players had never met before so it will be just like old times.
