I read that as "If you want the Odsal lease in order to benefit the Bulls and/or Rugby League, then we're open to selling it. If you want it to move the Bulls out and build houses and a hotel, you can take a running jump". Which is surely exactly the position they should be taking.

How anyone can read that as "hands off, you're not having it" I have no idea. Unless he's said comments in somewhere other than League Express.

Having checked, the person who quoted Nigel Wood saying "hands off" was saying it was from League Weekly, not League Express (I don't follow said person, so never saw the comment). I don't buy League Weekly, so couldn't say if it's correct or not. However if it is correct, those seem like conflicting statements in the two papers to me.

He s certainly the head of a multi million company,quite a few leagues above mr green,though to be fair to green he never pretended he was minted.

Given his time again I doubt green would even get involved,I get the feeling it was something that gathered momentum very quickly and he was swept along

Just seen the comment above about it being the League Weekly.

There really is some crud flying round. Think I'll take a leave of absence from this board and twitter and wait for official confirmation.

The only person i've seen Jewel & hands off quotes from are Mick on twitter.

I've not read the paper so it may or may not say those actual words

The interesting thing about the freehold for Odsal is that it's not just the stadium and the surrounding area under the title. It's Richard Dunn's too
