As for Mark Lawn, his name cropped up in both of our previous Administrations. Both times he was in the T&A offering to buy the club, and both times he didn't. I'd be interested to know why?



If I recall, he wasn't actually that interested last time - his bid was more of a 'if nobody else buys the club, then I'll buy it rather than see it go to the wall'. Since then he's actually sold Bradford City to other people, so perhaps he has more time and interest this time around, who knows?



He's quite open that he doesn't know anything much about Rugby, but he does seem to know how to turn around a failing sporting club in Bradford!

Why is it so many people involved in running sports clubs have a very poor grasp of accounting?



If the membership/subscription thing is true it's a ruddy scandal.

Mark Lawn's record at running a sports club isn't to be sniffed at. He is someone who will really divide opinion and many City fans love him, and many hate him but he can only be judged on his record and City were on a downward spiral when he joined and when he handed over the reigns they were and still are on the way up.



His input into City wasn't realised overnight however, Bradford spent 5 years rattling round the lower leagues before moving on up. I think he will look at Bulls in a smiliar way, he won't expect them to be in Super League the year after he takes over, he'd like it but I guess he is a realist.



There are many worse candidates out there than Lawn, Bulls have found themselves with many of them actually running the club. It's a little more positive however the line about City moving to Odsal and Odsal being redeveloped. I can't see that happening anytime. To bring Odsal up to Football League standard would cost as much as it would do to buy Valley Parade outright. The council can't and won't fund it as it would be political suicide. I think most of the Bradford public would ask why a stadium could be built with Council cash but the bins can't be collected weekly, etc, etc.



It will be interesting to see how it develops, one thing is for certain Green can't possibly be in control come the start of next season.

I have said time and time again on here that the club have been deliberately "misleading" the club and being "economical with the truth" for years now, yet some people (with a strange form of "influence"icon_wink.gif continued to be taken in by it all and tried to make you all see sense.



Apparently intelligent people who knew more than most.



People have been shot down for years on here for daring to tell it like it is and not burying their heads in the sand.



Quite how it is so bloody obvious to me, away up here, yet apparently un-noticed by people who have more of a link to the club, its' staff and the city than I will ever have is bemusing in the extreme.



I know who will be quick to condemn this. The same people that always have done so. The same people who are utterly blind to the reality.



Our club is probably going to die from neglect, but the people who have blindly supported the crooks and shysters who have taken us there need to take a damn good look at themselves. Had you not been so gullible, then it may not have led to this.



Still, we will get a rabble rousing speech from Winston Medley and all will be forgiven.

Let’s share our hilarious administration stories. When we went into administration the first time I was reading the news on my phone by the pool of a Menorcan villa. Despite the lovely surroundings I literally let out an involuntary sob. One of those primal noises that takes you by surprise. Fast forward a bit, and this time around I was in the drizzle outside Leeds bus station and I simply exclaimed “oh for fks sake” and carried on shopping.



That’s the apathy at play here. That’s the reason why I can’t be faffed explaining to self-absorbed Leythers why my post was actually about US not THEM, nor any other troll for that matter. Apathy feels quite dangerous to me, but that’s the level of not ar5sed we’ve sunk to watching this club; that’s rubbish isn’t it.

Not really. City were in the fourth tier of English football, and were in very serious danger of getting relegated down to the fifth tier (i.e out of the Football League altogether).



We still have some way to fall to get to that level of 'rattling around'



It seems that Mark Lawn is a straight talker. That's good if he comes in with a realism. We might need someone to be upfront and tell us to forget about SL for three or four years, whilst the club is properly stabilised, all the debt cleared and everything built from the bottom.



Perhaps one of Green's failings (and, to be fair, he never claimed to be 'a rugby man') is that he allowed himself to get swept along with the whole 'This club deserves to be in Super League' mantra?

That's exactly how it was. The fact that he isn't a rugby man led him to hire James Lowes and the rest, as they say, is history.

Seeing as you seem to have assembled a decent squad what happens to the players contracts with you going into administration are they honoured can the administrators get rid of playrrs

I see the RFL now having a dilemma over the current situation. With the season starting 6 weeks after Xmas this administration must be done with fairly quickly as the RFL need to be sure they have clubs to fulfill fixtures. I would think sadly there may be a small chance of the RFL revoking the Bulls RFL membership if it is not sorted quickly and bringing a club up from League 1 (Barrow). Placing the Bulls in League 1 when and only when a takeover is finalised. The timing of this could go against the Bulls. Hope it doesn't but you have to admit this is faintly possible.

It's because you always turn up in times of crisis just to pompously claim how you "called it" etc., and here you are again. Well, you didn't call it, and you have no grounds at all to slag off RAB posters in relation to Green, yet you have done. Basically your post is weirdly blaming everyone on here for the Bulls' demise, and for not listening to you. As if there was anything anyone on here could have done to influence the events with Green. Deluded and boring.

Possible? On the contrary, I'll be amazed if we come out of the other side of this one in anything like our current version. Our concern on here is more whether we can survive at all, and has been for some months, and certainly since the criminal Featherstone debacle.

Reading the RFL statement it sounds like you maybe right. The statement is worded to suggest they have had enough and that they will be looking at other clubs interests first.



"In these circumstances the RFL will always seek to support a club in difficulty for the sake of those directly affected and also on behalf of the Chairmen and Boards of well managed clubs who deserve stability"



Bulls going into League 1 would actually cost a fair few teams thousands in revenue. I doubt Batley, Fev, Halifax, etc v Barrow would be the kind of draw that the Bulls is to them, and the attendances would reflect this.



I fear the worst is yet to come.



However if the club was to be kicked into League 1, why not simply start again without any ties to anything. Bradford Northern 2016, they is nothing that really means the club should bend over backwards. SL status is gone unlike on the other 2 admins, the central funding is as low as it will be anyhow and a years newly formed in league 1 is no worse than having the milstones round the Bulls neck from the RFL in the Championship with little chance of a top 4 finish.

People always say its the players and employees that are worst hit. I disagree. Most will get employment elsewhere. The demise of a club hits fans the worst. Most will just give up on RL completely rather than start supporting a different team.



I fear for our own future if we fail promotion next year. A difference though, is Hull only has 2 teams competing for financial backing in a 20 mile radius. In West Yorks, its about 9 across all 'pro' leagues.

Well that's a bit rich coming from a body that keeps insisting we take the offer from blokes with no bloody money!







We start on minus 12 and that's the top 4 effectively out of reach. So that's a season where we know we can achieve nothing and the resulting apathy from fans simply exacerbates the financial predicament for whatever owner emerges. Or we go genuinely bust and emerge in Championship 1 with some new places to visit.

Second option at Horsfall Stadium. Ditch Odsal, the Bulls and bring back the Northern moniker. Bring a sad and sorry episode to an end.
