Pragmatic is what I would classify myself as, if not a realist. Bradford are still a decent investment opportunity for the right man. The Good Dr over at Salford or someone with just 35% of his "belief' would get the fans back.....but before that can be achieved, the debt must be dealt with.
I think Bradford are a top 8 side as they stand this year.....if they can get through this year "alive" and above 13th, I can see an investor pumping cash into the club....but the threat/risk of relegation was too much for "minor players" (no disrespect to bedman and the others)....it would take balls of steel to throw a million at the Bulls now and hope they stay up.
tough times at ICONIC Odsal!

ICONIC don't make me laugh or puke fax.
Its a big hole of a dump that should have been put down years ago.Too vast and old and high maintenance.
All the stakehokders need to get together on the "Hole" and build houses on it.They are building adjacent already.
With Bulls getting a million to vacate so they could relocate.
Compensation.
Then Council and RFL sell to developer.
For houses.
with another bob or two thrown Bulls way by council to locate to a modern manageable home.

We have moved on from 102000 flat caps and the odd trilby.

5000 there for London.
Atmosphereless.
Bit like the Shay with a 1000 in.
What a great stand you have now though.
That's what Bulls need.
With Bradford Council that will take 120 years.
Sadly

Sadly

I have no affiliation with the blue sox or any other team from Halifax. My name derives from the facsimile communications of the 1990's to mid 2000's....early day spam but still I prefer that association. Than the one wit the only team (to date) to finish on nil point!

Re: The 5 runners and riders : Wed Mar 12, 2014 8:24 am
Update to my odds;

Stall 1 – Richard Lamb 2-1 (fav) (drifting from 10-11)
Stall 2 – BPA (&chancers) 25-1 (out from 18-1)
Stall 3 – BCFC 12-1
Stall 4 – Omar Khan 200-1 (out from 100-1)
Stall 5 – Koukash (or actually his missus/brother/dog/cleaner) 250-1 (in from 500-1 after the horse was confirmed to at least exsit!)

And we now have a late runner coming up fast on the rails;
Stall 6 - Marc Green 8-1 (managing director of Leeds-based Safeguard Security Group)

Marc Green... is in the running to take control of the club.

But do we yet know which horse the Hood/Caisley/ghosts of christmas' past are backing?
Its all so exciting I could almost go to sleep :SLEEPY: roll on Thursday and the announcement before Sunday.

Its heartening to see so much interest in the wounded beast that is the Bulls - however, one must question the bidders intentions.....

Marc Green looking to get back his money? OK the same one assumes?

BCFC & BPA ground share theories

Lamb and Koukash who knows and who knows who is behind them!

All I want is a someone with passion for the game and the club and not looking to make a quick buck, is that too much to ask!!!

That's probably the most bizarre article yet.

Re: The 5 runners and riders : Wed Mar 12, 2014 8:52 am
Perhaps someone more up to date with twitter and such things should tweet the good Dr and remind him of the RFL policy review document, specifically this bit;

"5.3.10 The finite Salary Cap for the Tier 1 competition will remain at its current position of £1.825 million for 2015 and 2016.

5.3.11 In Tier 1, the current Elite Squad Representative Dispensation Allowance is removed, to be replaced by regulation that limits the Salary Cap Value of a Club Trained Player at a nominal value of £100k (i.e. for any Club Trained Player with a Salary Cap Value of over £100k, his Salary Cap Value will be assessed at £100k only with any additional wage not included in his salary cap value). This would reward clubs for producing elite talent and give them an opportunity to retain this talent in the face of competition from other sports and competitions."

Meaning the good Dr (or any relative of his or passing oligarch would do also) could buy the Bulls in 2014, right the ship, and then in 2015/2016 could bring back Sam, Tom and George Burgess for a combined salary cap allowance of 300k, but the Dr could actually pay Sam a million if he wanted. Win Win situation :D The Dr gets to splash the cash, we get Sam back.

On a more serious note, its another example of how important developing our own player is, and will be in the future, even if we lose half to Shuddersfield or Wakey or whoever, it will be vital going forward in whatever league we end up in to produce our own players.

We can all work out what gives you pleasure, I think. It's not "being right". You don't have much actual experience of being right.

You're right, buying from the administrator with a debt burden of exactly £0 must be the hugest headache.

If there was ever a time for your "being right" debut, that would be a good start. Sadly, it can't happen

You're right. We can all see it too. There is this immensely wealthy investor, itching to pump cash in. But obviously, being shrewd, he's waiting till the price goes up, instead of coming in now at near enough nowt.

When we were alive and above 13th these last few seasons, this investor was presumably on holiday or on a long call, or something.

Lamb Koukash sounds like a good name for a curry - Omar might be interested in this
