Suspect Whitehead might have done the same ....at his top four side.....
Still, it would be good to get Scrutes, Sammut and Carvell back, I mean I know they're contracted elsewhere but what are contracts anyway? Just a worthless bit of paper.
That said, would we really want them anyway? and how would the dressing room react?
I think you will find that if Mandy is successful and buys back the lease then she will then sell to XYZ Ltd for Dr Koukash and his colleagues to develop.
Not immediately but I feel that is a grand plan. A tight AW racetrack even at Odsal?
Didn't Solly say that should all creditors be paid off, we would be able to appeal against the points deduction? It was buried in one of the recent T&A articles, though I can't remember off hand which one.
He was certainly quoted as saying that, yes.
The decision to dock the points was precipitate anyway, since it was done before the takeover has been completed and to be honest, I don't see how they could do anything other than reinstate the points if the debt is repaid on take over. There is never any logic or common sense behind anything the RFL do of course, so maybe it's a bit much to expect any now but if they follow their own rules - then no debt should equal no loss of points and the fact they imposed the penalty before they actually knew what the case would be is irrelevant.

I never said he did moan about the fans but the size of the crowds, all credit to the Dr for investing in the club and trying to build it up. But to be serious about competing at the top of the league even the 7102 recent record gate a long way from numbers at Wigan and Leeds the clubs he hopes to challenge - and I think your average is still behind your "partners" Sale who don't have the benefit of local derby matches against clubs just a few miles away.
But the size of gates is a major problem for nearly every team in the league and their aspirations.
Seven thousand plus against Wakefield isn't a bad gate. Then similar numbers against Saints. For a Club that could barely scrape a few thousand last season he's doing a decent job. There's still room for improvement but the team has to provide the impetus for that to happen. As for Sale, even their fans have been confused at the inflation of attendance figures and actually are on an even footing with Salford in that regard and in most cases are actually worse.
would love to see bradford be bought by a wealthy owner and deliver success back to odsal, tragic what has happened to thew club and big shoutout to the fans that stuck through thick and thin with the club, hopefully will be seeing 12k+ crowds every week again at odsal. plus another strong side in super league will be welcomed by everyone with a brain.

While I'm not counting chickens, and I've said elsewhere I'll sit back and wait with nervous hope like everyone else, if (IF) this or any other deal went through and was resolved, I'd certainly look back at last month's tiff between the RFL and Rita, Sue and Bob too Calvert, Moore and Watt in a certainly different light.
When one door closes and all that.
Still, that makes me sound overly optimistic, and no doubt futile.
