Brilliant!

Putting Karl Pryce in charge of Physical Toughness is like putting Michael Jackson in charge of babysitting duties.

I have said this numerous times. He needs to stick to commentary. He is excellent at it, and I will never hear a bad word said about his BCB commentary skills, they are superb.
The problem with him is this "In The Know" stuff that makes him look a total tit. Constantly tweeting rumours and total b0llocks without any real foundation. At normal times, it's kind of harmless. He posts a bull$hit rumour and it turns out to be nothing. The Mathers thing in fairness, was fairly harmless really, it was just people expecting a good player and getting a crap one. But when situations like this are ongoing where people are genuinely fearful that the club they love is about to go under, his $hite is damaging and upsets people. But because he loves the attention so much, and he gets it because there are loads of people that believe it, he carries on.

He REALLY needs to stick to commentary. That way he would be loved. While he continues with this stuff he does on Twitter, he'll always be ridiculed, and without wishing any personal ill will on the lad, who I am sure is a great guy, it's kind of deserved.

I have no doubt his heart is in the right place. But whether it's down to naivety or ego, if he wants to be taken seriously, he needs to reel himself in.

Agree with all that. I think the bold highlight says it all for me

Of course it doesn't.
But in situations like this, I tend to believe respected journalists more than the average, head firmly buried in the sand, supporter...

I really don'y know why Mick gets all the stick. If you simply look on him as another poster then treat his posts accordingly. Some seem to think that because he has a bit of an inside track then anything he says is like the word of god coming down the mountain on stone tablets. It is not beyond the wit of some people to actually use third parties to feed false information to the masses.

In fairness, I have oft defended Mick on here but it seems to me that he has been completely out of order in this case. He has had more different stories than Dickens during this period of admin and, as has been seen in local media, people will pick up on this and print it as some form of gospel.

I concede that there is too much "lazy journalism" out there but it does not help when someone (who you could perceive as being somewhat "close to the club" due to his radio work) is Twattering loads of supposition and presenting it as fact.

Well the administrators have just released a statement saying there's to be an announcement on the sale in the next 48 hours. The way the release is worded sounds much more positive than "the club is going into liquidation"

I agree. No one is giving stick to the other two who broke the "liquidation story". If it turns out to be false, then I hope everyone is back on here giving them grief too.

And if it's true, apologies all round to Mick then I should imagine?

I've been rethinking the last two years and come to a surprising conclusion: The reason why the atmosphere is so flat at home games is not due to the standard of rugby being so bad it's just that it all seems so anti-climatic after the goings on in the close seasons.

TBF the 2 journos mentioned said the club COULD be liquidated. That was after the players were sent home after speaking to the administrator which i believe to be correct. Mick said it WILL be Liquidated Friday.
