Seem to remember Mr Green chirping on about wanting to regain the lease from the RFL, negotiations were always ongoing he said time and again.If an owner, first approved by them with little to invest, can enter into purchase negotiations, then the deal surely cannot be detrimental to any present bidder with financial clout. Key seems to be that it was not made clear of this condition in the early stages.It would be a travesty, if without added backing MG had engineered the outcome in his favour.I would thank anyone for saving the Bulls, but am unconvinced regarding his history here.Even through liquidation,I would not welcome anything less than a full on transparency with some supporter board involvement and would hope for a new owner with the funds and stability to deliver.

The administrator provides transparency in his final report. Which covers all aspects of the administration, including factors leading up to it.



What transparency will the RFL provide, in view of the legal & moral conflict of interest they created when they bought the lease?

No, I think that's probably about the size of it. They name a (reasonable) price, the investor agrees or does not agree. End of. You wouldn't think it would be that hard really.

Furthermore, if the RL or the administrator have inadvertently caused a delay and jeaopardised the bidding process, then they must be held accountable for hindering the process and endangering a positive outcome imo.

I think the RFL are playing a grand game of bluff with a potential buyer to see who blinks first. They seem to have confidence that any prospective buyer of the club will come through with a big deal for the lease but ultimately the council has the final say as to what happens with Odsal. If I was in the rest of the rugby community I would be asking the 'Safeguarders of Rugby' what they are going to do with the ground after Friday.

That statement to me reads:



"The administrator is saying the buyers want the Odsal lease. If they can't have it, they're not going to buy and the club will be liquidated. We're saying we will sell it if they give us enough money and promise RL will still be played there. We're not going to sell it cheap or let you use the land for something else just because the club might go under if we do."



I see a stalemate. Which I'm afraid may well lead to the L word.

More twists and turns than a "Tales of the unexpected" episode (you young uns won't remember that programme) .

At this moment in time id sooner the rfl temporally take over the club rather than it go to one of these shysters and mercenaries

Is it beyond the wit of MAN not to go into shares with a potential buyer who would own it as a consortium with a view to a package that would build a proper stadium of the future and then RL big games could also be held at Odsal .. it being accessible from the motorways, with plenty of accommodation nearby...

They say a significant statement will be made tomorrow. At this point in time it must be known what is going to be said.

Why are people immediately thinking it is liquidation. Significant could also mean big, surprising, unexpected and so on.

My money is still on a good announcement tomorrow - with a bit of a surprise thrown in there maybe from the RFL in the way of give and take from both parties. I am not in the camp of the RFL want us to fold. I still believe they will do their best to get a stable owner in charge.

That's how I feel and fingers crossed I am right.

If I listen to the administrator, I feel the announcement may be positive. Then I look at that statement from the RFL and I wonder why, if the club is about to be finalised and sold, why did they need to put that statement out?



The statement is a clear "we're not to blame" which makes me expect the worst.

I would take anyone owning the club at this moment. I don't wanna see the club go under.

If we fold, who is going to provide the majority of the England team in future?



Never mind, I'm sure the rfl can rely on those teams that can't be bothered to invest in youth

FWIW, as someone who decided not to be involved in this go round the sun, walked away and who checks back in once every three days or so, I am still largely positive. I'm prepared to be disappointed but I expect good news.

What a caper this is turning out to be!

In fact I believe Tigertot brought his considerable experience to bear and once told us we could get someone to pay us to allow them to fill it with money.

The main benefit of owning the lease would be the ability to borrow against it. Anyone looking to do that probably hasn't got much cash at the table. That sounds like the start of administration 4.

4 bids for the bulls, surely they all can't want to but the lease asap. Maybe in time.

There is nothing confusing about that statement at all IMO. In fact theyou are within their rights to sell that lease for a decent price considering they paid 1.25M for it as posted by FA elsewhere. Sadly I have to applaud the RFL for at least making their position clear.

O.K. Anyone know what time the statement is expected? a.m. or p.m?

I fear its going to be.

I respect your position but what will they do with the lease if the Bulls fold. The RFL have a lease on a ground with no-one playing there. The council are then in the box seat. The RFL have a lease that says the ground must be used for rugby so they can't just sell the lease on. A lot of people still think the RFL own the ground.

I wouldn't be all that surprised if tomorrow comes and goes without a word from the Administrators
