| Indeed, but we still have the troublesome situation where somebody at the club has bought a shedload of players and somebody else t the club thinks they are crap and won't play them barring nuclear armageddon. How did they let it get to that, and how unhealthy is it? Do Ferres and Lowes ever have a conversation about the hundreds of thousands being spent on wages for players Lowes will simply never pick?
And is Lowes right, have we indeed signed a bunch of absolute dregs duffers, or do we have a number of non-playing players who could actually be good?
It's all a bit baffling to me. If Ferres buys them but Lowes refuses to play them then surely that must cause a helluva lot of serious friction at the club, not least with Green?

| Disappointed.
I wont rehash everyones views, suffice to say that I also believe we need a proper scrum half. We don't currently have one. Without one I don't believe we'll get promotion. We could also do with another decent prop but that's not as vital IMHO as a new 7. (I think with the right coaching and development either Fleming or Tahraoui would be an improvement over lauaki)
My worry is that with the current squad ad coach we will be too good for the majority of the Championship, even with our failings and squad gaps I cant see us not getting in the top 4, but IMO we are not currently good enough to get in the top 4 of the playoffs...
On our possible rivals for the 8's recruitment, Salford/Widnes/Hull KR aren't going to be troubled by us, Wakey are going well and will be stronger, Halifax will be tough, Leigh are improving...although reports of them signing Chase seem less than clear;

"While Chase was expected to join former NRL players Reni Maitua and Cory Paterson at Leigh next season, the club is believed to have some salary cap issues which could prevent a deal going through."
Also, anyone know if Sammut has got a club for next year yet? Is he still at Workington? I still think he'd have done a good job for us at this level.

| Looks like Kris Welham will be in a Bulls shirt for 2016. On RH sports talk last night Lee Radford put the dampener on an excited hull fan who thought his club were after signing him stating he was on his way to Bradford Bulls.

| Can Welham play scrum half?
Seriously though he'd be an improvement on Adam Henry.

Welham will be a decent player at championship level. But Purtell, Nielsen, Blythe, JPB, Mendieka and Walshaw can all play there, did we need another centre. Plus with Johnny Campbell reportedly on his way. Not
A Priority for me.

With Campbell's broken leg, it's likely the club may have pulled out on that deal

| Sorry for doing this as I know it annoys people but don't post things like this often anyway. Been told this morning we are signing a prop, name mentioned isn't Mitch Clark but source has dealings with the player in question and is going to meet with the Bulls with him supposedly. Sorry for the vagueness guys

| Welham is one of those players who always seemed to have a good game when he was with the opposition, so personally I'd be happy to see him in the RA&B.

Well that's clear as mud!
To be honest, I don't see why we'd sign another prop. It's abundantly clear that Lowes regards Clough and Sidlow as his starting props, with Lauaki and Crossley on the bench. It's going to take an absolute earthquake to change that, it seems. That leaves Fleming, Taharoui and any new signing scrabbling around for any occasional appearances, or covering the odd injury.
We already had two props this season who never played a game! So why does it seem that we are intent on adding to the prop roster?

I know sorry, just like the bits of info he gives me as he sometimes has his finger in the pulse with some stuff and has some connections in the right places. All I will say is it could divide opinion (the player)
