Actually, unless the conditions were changed when the RFL took over the lease, they can't.

Remember, the council didn't want it falling into the wrong hands and one of the, well publicised in the T&A at the time of originally taking it out, conditions of the 'head' lease is that Bradford Bulls should play the majority of their home games there or forfeit the lease. IIRC, it also calls for a repayment of a proportional part of the 'Odsal settlement' money [which bankrolled our period of success and was spent before CC left], though, since they were the same entity at the time, I'm not sure whether it's down to the club or to the leaseholder to pay up.

I think it may be more accurate to say the RFL can do, pretty much, whatever they like with the ground as long as it remains the home of the Bulls.

Agreed. If they wanted to put £80m into it, developing something called i dunno, say Odsal sporting village, or Wembley of the North, with a Sainsburys, ASDA, Tesco, Morrisons all on site, along with a new 16-18k stadium, then no-one, or no organisation could stop them...

I have only just seen the interview on the Sky sports website with the Koukash's.

I may have missed it in the many pages of discussion, but are none of you a bit concerned that Mandy Koukash can not strike anyone in the slightest as a hard nosed intelligent and successful business woman....? let alone anyone that has a clue about Rugby League.

or do you simply see it as Marwan Koukash owning a better and bigger club than Salford "Without anyone knowing"?

Personally, I'm past caring who takes over, as long as they can afford to run us. I think she fits that Bill.

Plus, I would imagine she wouldn't be running the club on her own.

It's come up but like daveyz999 I am also past caring. I've been fretting about mere survival for at least five years.

S/He's talked about putting a management team in, which was always my plan if I ever won the lottery I don't buy tickets for. Assuming she wins then in the absence of anything better I'm just going to have to live with the club being owned by multi millionaires.
