Mmhmm, at least somebody's starting to agree with me.
I expect there's a germ of truth on both sides. The fact is, he didn't look to be going for it a lot of the time he was with us, and ended up losing his spot because of it.
I read a comment somewhere that a coach would look at him training, and every one would think, ""If I can't make something out of that raw material, I can't coach". I can see the point, and what's more, Nobby - who is as shrewd as they come - clearly thinks so.
I thought Karl had a fine game on Sky last week and so maybe there is a lot more in there if someone can just get it out. Shame he had to leave us, as you don;t get many built and configured like him. His strie rate with us IMHO means he was rather unfairly targeted. Sure he brought some of it on himself but still.

He's like Leon, they both look lazy at times but really they are not, they just wait for the right oppurtunity to turn it on. There's another one that is talked about like that, his name is Darren Lockyer.

Leon & Karl are like chalk & cheese. From what I've seen of Karl away from the pitch he is a thoroughly likeable, polite young man. On the pitch he is largely spineless I'm afraid. Leon has always been the opposite, too much in some cases. Unfortunately for GB, I've never had the slightest inclination that Lockyer looks lazy.
He had it too easy at junior level when his size made him almost unplayable. I remember one game where he did virtually nothing all match, seemed to spend most of his time sauntering about on the wing. Contributed little to the team, performance ...except for the three times when he received the ball one on one against a much smaller centre who he easily brushed aside to score a hat trick. His physique is still a huge advantage but its not so easy against the bigger boys.
... On the pitch he is largely spineless I'm afraid. ...
Why would you think someone of Noble's experience - and with prior first hand knowledge of the player - would sign a "largely spineless" player, and put him in Wigan's first team, just out of interest? There would have to be a reason?

Because Pryce is 6'6", 18 stone & can run like the wind. There's 3.

Is that the same Noble that has signed McAvoy several times.
