Bridge was one of juniors who Noble sold cheap just like atkins. I said Carvell was first choice in response to previous poster who said he was out of favour.
Bridge has been in and out of the wire side this year and even played at loose forward when he has played. His younger brother is on the books there and he would prob hang about until he gets chance to play with him. Bridge left under a bit of a cloud and he strikes me as somone who would want to be playing every week so there may be a chance he could leave.
Yeah, Bridge left, as a teenager, after some disciplinary issues caused concern to the then management and I'm not sure he was even 'sold' to be honest. His ability was never in doubt though, and he's played well for Wire and seems to have settled down to the rigours being a pro athlete, for which he deserves some credit, imo.
None of which applied to Atkins, who was simply not in contention for a spot, in a very strong side, when he left to get opportunities elsewhere. On the basis of you can't keep 'em all, and without the use of 20/20 hindsight, it was probably the right deal at the time, for both parties. Not sure either would be available any time soon, but there would be serious competition for Atkins if he wanted away, imo.
