Is this a hard concept for you? You genuinely can't get past some strange belief that a business is a one-person operation, and if you buy it then you must run it? Do you think that the owner of Exxon Mobil is a Mr. Exxon Mobil, and he calls all the shots?

The vast majority of Ltd companies in the UK are managed by their owners, so in most cases it does help to know how to run it. Exxon or other Plc's form a tiny minority of the corporate base in the UK.

But in this particular case right from the off they have being saying if the "Mrs K" bid is accepted a team of business managers would be put in to control operations - presumable not just a collection of mates who can say "OK" as we found to our cost last year.

They are just showing they are independent.

Besides "This is the modern world" as the Jam would say as technology is sparing us from the sight of our partners over the breakfast table.

Exactly, which is also why its hardly surprising to hear/read quotes in the gurdian and observer from "sources close to the club" clearly briefing in favour of the Lamb bid. Any sources that close to meaningful info might have more to fear for their own jobs from Koucash bringing in a new management team. The Lamb bid, I would guess, might retain....or reinstate? some/more of the old team. Only my random musings and reading between the lines of course.

Either way, lets just get an answer so we can get on with saying;

Brilliant/tragedy/I told you so/didn't tell youso/i wasright/you was wrong/FACT/HTH/conflict of interest/breath of freash air/etc.

Delete as appropriate.

It might, or it might just be cheaper, but the word I used was "necessitate".

Indeed. Though also, AFAIR, every single one of the failed rugby league clubs in recent times has failed while being run by some hot shot "businessman" or other, or their appointed "experts".
