I think you must have biscuit for brains, if you're not on the wind-up. Whatever she may, or may not, know, since when did owning a business necessitate knowing the first thing about running it? I mean, really?

Is this a hard concept for you? You genuinely can't get past some strange belief that a business is a one-person operation, and if you buy it then you must run it? Do you think that the owner of Exxon Mobil is a Mr. Exxon Mobil, and he calls all the shots?

:SHOOT:

thankfully all the other Bulls fans responded with a sensible answer. It wasn't a wind up just a genuine question I haven't been on the forum prior to all these latest bids so I just wanted to understand the fans views on Mandy Koukash 's bid.

your exon Mobil example is quite childish and not even relevant to the koukash situation.
You'd have been better saying is John W Henry a football expert and can he explain the offside rule to anyone ?

in fact its likely he didn't know what soccer was just a few years ago. But he is an Expert in running sports businesses. Mandy koukash is not.

Going back to your exon mobil example, do you think anyone other than Koukash is calling the shots at Salford. do you think the marketing guys came up with Salfords away kit that matches koukash's racing colours? did they also come up with a mascot that happens to look like a red faced koukash? did the management team sack Phil Veivers?
Do you think Brian Noble would have any say in which marquee player they would buy?

so in answer to your question, yes,the Salford Reds is almost a one person operation, he bought it and will run it, he does call the Shots, and if he could, he would rename it Marwaan Koukash Red devils. and you know it.

despite your rant at a genuine question I hope you get it all sorted and don't get Relegated. Wire V Bradford Northern in 1979 was my first ever game and I remember it like yesterday. I was hooked from that day on.

Maybe the RFL want Lamb to win and take us into the championship to rebuild, one team relegation solved.

Still waiting to hear the outcome of my bid. I do not understand the delay in making the decision or when will it be made

You'd think she'd welcome a delay so she could get a load of washing on or get a bit of ironing done

What would the RFL do if London and Catalans went down? Another reason they'd want Lamb over Koukash.

Er...relegate those teams. I doubt Catalans will be in the bottom 2 this year though whilst London have already prepared for the lower tier by assembling a squad that is championship standard 12 months early. Straight race between the Bill and Wakefield to see who goes down with us IMHO.

The RFL insisted Ian Lenegan couldn't control 2 clubs and therefore pretty much Killed London as a SL entity in 2008, so there is precedent if the Koukash bid is not accepted...although I have no doubt that conspiracy theories will abound regardless.

Of course you did.
the flying biscuit wrote:

I'm not sure where the concept of childishness relates to the obvious (but not to you) point that to buy a business you need have no clue whatsoever how to run it.
the flying biscuit wrote:

Impossible to answer to a question posed in slang. "Calling the shots"? Calling WHICH shots?
Team selection? No, certainly he is not selecting the team.
Substitutions? No, he does not decide the replacements.
These would seem to be the most relevant shots in context of a rugby league team.
the flying biscuit wrote:
...do you think the marketing guys came up with Salfords away kit that matches koukash's racing colours?

What an odd "point". Obviously the racing colours were already his, and obviously he decided to use them as an away kit to tie in the club to his horse racing interests. What relevance would it have whether or not "his marketing guys" came up with it? The point you miss is he HAS marketing guys. I doubt he's the sort of guy to own a dog and bark himself, equally I'm sure that his marketing guys may advise but that he would take the final decision. So, for example,m if his marketing guys made a strong enough case for X, then i expect Koukash would be persuaded to do X, instead of Y. Do you find that strange in some way?
the flying biscuit wrote:
...did they also come up with a mascot that happens to look like a red faced koukash?

I would bet they did, yes. But maybe he has skills as a graphic designer that we have never been told of.
the flying biscuit wrote:
...did the management team sack Phil Veivers?

Another odd question. If you are suggesting that Koukash one day walked in and announced he was sacking Veivers, absent any discussion with Farish or anyone, then I would say that is highly improbable.
the flying biscuit wrote:
...Do you think Brian Noble would have any say in which marquee player they would buy?

Knowing him, yes, I'm damn sure he would have a very big say. Also that whatever he is, (and unlike many, I am a Koukash fan) Koukash is no fool and the thought he would sign a marguee player off his own bat without Noble's input is the most risible thing you have said.
the flying biscuit wrote:

 So it is a one man show, he calls all the shots - but doesn't even get to call the team what you say he wants! Why is that, then? isn't choosing the team name "a shot"? The funny thing is, you don't even get why that's funny.
the flying biscuit wrote:

Rant? You're kidding. But thanks for the kind thoughts.

Yes indeed there is precedent. Mr and Mrs Hetheringtons at Leeds and Hull. Or was that a different precedent? Or just reinforcing the fact that the RFL makes it up as it goes along?

If the plan is to take us down a division I won't be going to watch slow death on the field this year.

If Hood is back then that's me done completely.

I suspect it'll be a similar scenario for a few others too.

Agreed. I can cope with us getting relegated; I can't cope with us deciding to just roll over.
